Workshops at Adam Mickiewicz University
On November 13th 2024 our class 3/4 and our English teacher Mrs Aleksandra Marciniakwent to Adam Mickiewicz University to Collegium HeliodoriŚwięcickiat6 GrunwaldzkaStreet to take part in workshopsat the Department of English Studies. The lectures were run by Ms Małgorzata Drwal and Ms MałgorzataŁyczkowska. The first lecture given by Ms Łyczkowska was about the Netherlands and the Dutch language.
She talked about Dutch facts and myths and then we did a quiz on Kahoot. She also taught us the pronunciation in Dutch. We also learned about some habits and rituals of this country.
The second workshop given by Ms Drwal in English was about
“A European tourist in South Africa in the early 20thcentury and today”. She told us about a suffragist on a world tour for female suffrage – Aletta Jacobs.
It was also about comparing European cities and culture to African ones. She talked about African traditions and how to get ready to visit an Africa. During the workshops the atmospherewas very friendly and everyone asked questions eagerly. After 2 hours spent at the University everyone left satisfied with the workshops we participated in.
