School Trip to Apollo Theatre: „The Great Gatsby” Experience

On October 2nd, students from our school had the unique opportunity to attend a theatrical performance of The Great Gatsby at the Apollo Theatre in Poznań, located on Ratajczaka Street 18. The show started promptly at 9:00 AM and then went on for 2 hours, including a fifteen minute break, during which, me and my classmates shared opinions about the first half of the performance. The spectacle itself was an unforgettable experience and a powerful adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s iconic novel.

We were captivated by the vivid portrayal of the Roaring Twenties, the glamour of the Jazz Age, and the poignant tale of love, wealth, and the American Dream. The actors’ performances were outstanding, with dynamic stage design, great choreography and stunning costumes adding to the immersive atmosphere. The story of Jay Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan, filled with passion, intrigue, and tragedy, kept everyone on the edge of their seats.

After this amazing trip, we went on with our day and continued our classes.

This educational trip to the Apollo Theatre was not only a chance to witness a remarkable production but also an opportunity to deepen the students’ understanding of literature, history, and performing arts. We look forward to more such enriching cultural experiences in the future!
